A Bit About Me

Hi, I’m Glynis and I’ve never really done things the “normal” way.

Originally from San Francisco, I moved to London over a decade ago on a whim, and what followed has been anything but linear. I've lived and worked across multiple cities, changed direction more than once, and built a career that looks a lot more like a winding path than a straight line. Along the way, I've picked up a master's in data science, 15+ years of experience in data and analytics, and six years of coaching and management practice.

My technical background spans product analytics, A/B testing and experimentation, data journalism, and social media analytics. I've worked in-house with organisations across media, tech, and product and now I bring that expertise to clients independently through GM Data Consulting & Coaching.

But data has never been the whole story for me. My real passion is people. I love understanding how we think, grow, and find our footing again when life feels off track. In 2021, I was diagnosed with ADHD, which reframed a lot of what I'd experienced throughout my career. I've learned to work with my brain instead of against it, and that shift has made me a better coach, a more creative thinker, and a more empathetic advisor.

I've also experienced burnout, on more than one occasion. Those experiences taught me that growth without self-awareness isn't sustainable, and that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is slow down.

Today, my work is about helping organisations and individuals move forward with clarity and confidence. On the consulting side, that means helping teams use data in ways that are proactive, meaningful, and actually understood. On the coaching side, it means helping people — especially women navigating male-dominated industries and people with ADHD — grow into where they want to be.
